Nataraja statue

The Nataraja statue is one of the foremost Hindu sculptures.Demonstrating the use of space, balance and superior sculptural features, it depicts the existence and destruction of the universe in the style of Shiva's Thandava dance.During the dance, the radiant beam radiating from Shiva's body is represented by a circular fire ring.Shows the speed of the dance in a way that extends to the sides of the head.Adds elegance to the jewelry statue, including the headdress. On the headdress is a half moon, a skull, an ivory figure and a serpent. The half sign indicates the art of the moon and indicates that Lord Shiva is always present, even if the moon has not been seen once. The right ear wears a male earring and the left ear a female earring. The right arm rests on both sides of the back. This symbolizes the magical rhythm of the heartbeat that results from creative destructive acting and the destruction of the left-handed flame. The Abhaya Mudra on the right, which is folded forward, depicts the blessing of the devotees to remove their doubts and consolation. In the lower left, the Gajahastha seal depicts the devotees calling themselves and fulfilling their request.A dwarf is trampled by the weight-bearing right leg.The trampling of this dwarf called "Muyalamana" symbolizes the liberation of the devotees suffering from the illusion of ignorance. The sculptor has tried to present many concepts related to Hinduism through the use of symbols. This magical play by Lord Shiva depicts the creation of life, the existence and destruction of the universe, the eradication of ignorance as well as blessings.
